Meet Samantha, a 16-year-old girl who knows all too well what it is like to feel alienated, and the chance at a new life with a real family is more than she has ever hoped for. Descendants from one of seven ancient bloodlines, most of them angels, these half breeds battle around the world trying to defeat the other bloodlines in the search of religious artefacts; the possession of which can have devastating consequences if they fall into the wrong hands. Samantha is taught family secrets, and how to protect herself from others who will try to take those secrets, but even with all she is learning, there is much still left unanswered. Looks and even feelings can be deceiving. She has no reason to believe her new family is evil, but what if she is wrong? When Samantha is given her first mission, to recover a stone pendent, she must use caution, lest she fall in love with the enemy. Though, he is not the only one after her heart. This story will take you on a journey as one girl discovers why Nephilim are still on earth, and what her destiny is in the grand design between the battle of good and evil yet to come, while still reminding us what it means to be human; to hope, to fall in love, to suffer, and to overcome all odds.

  • Rhesus Negative

    Brian MacKinnon

Paperback (Austin Macauley Publishing, Nov. 30, 2016)
Talent and ambition are fine things, but when unforeseeable impediments repeatedly stall their progress and threaten to stymie their fulfilment, desperate measures may be taken. In the case of B.L. MacKinnon, the ambition to gain a medical degree was interrupted by illness and repeatedly forestalled by a powerful and determined antagonist. Three years after being unjustly excluded from medical school, he tried again, by undertaking a science degree to regain his place. Again, his efforts were rewarded with the ruthless application of the most extreme prejudice against him. In an excellent re-telling of these events, B.L. MacKinnon also describes his transformation to the fictitious Brandon Lee and his audacious return to his old school where, as a thirty-year-old pretending to be sixteen, he passes his Scottish Higher exams with straight A's and re-enters medical school. The rest is an unravelling, after his identity is discovered, and an unmasking of the dark forces that can be brought to bear when the individual dares to challenge the received will of certain establishment figures. It is a story that could well have been made a novel, but it is true and is just as absorbing as a novel can be.

  • Crossing the Euphrates

    Shoghagat Sharon Aroian Dr.

Hardcover (Austin Macauley Publishing, Feb. 29, 2016)
CROSSING THE EUPHRATES is a wonderfully readable and moving historical novel, bringing to life a too often forgotten, century old story with vivid immediacy. It tells the harrowing escape and survival of a man who lost everyone and everything during the first genocide of the 20th century, inflicted on ethnic Armenians by the fading Ottoman Empire in 1915. It is also a story about the love and deep bond between a beloved grandfather and his granddaughter who had been entrusted to care for his diaries only upon his death. His shocking sudden death along with her inconsolable grief catapulted her into uncovering the true horrors of what he endured yet never spoke about. This discovery brought her to terms with her own unspoken ghosts that had always haunted her every move and even led her to a profession in Family Mental Health and becoming a Child Development Specialist. The importance of this story to the author herself is underscored by the unusual approach she takes, addressing her main character directly as she attempts to understand the enormity of the terrible events he lived through, while she herself finally is able to stop the forces that shadowed her all her life by becoming able to lay down the dead she had never known she was carrying.
